  Merry Christmas Everyone!!

  Most have made and taken home their Christmas Rag Trees!  I hope you love them, and are displaying them during this holiday season!!  Thank you for providing the fabric! 
   We will be sharing our Christmas Story Book Reports on Monday, December 19!  It will also be P.J. Day!  We will have a  "Read-A-Thon" with books I am giving them for Christmas! 
  In the afternoon, we will play a couple of games, watch "The Grinch That Stole Christmas," and have snacks!  I will be sending home a permission slip to watch the movie! 
   Your child may have signed you up to provide treats for the class!  If you are unable to provide what your child signed you up for, please let me or your child know, as soon as possible, so that we can make other arrangements!  Thank you in advance!! 
  The end of the quarter is Wednesday, December 21!  Please make sure your child has turned in all missing assignments by this coming Friday, December 16, so that they can be entered into the computer before the quarter ends!  It's impossible to enter all missing assignments on the last day of the quarter!
  We have four Birthdays during the break!  Dylan and Gwen will celebrate their Birthdays on Tuesday, December 20, and Sadie will celebrate hers on Wednesday, December 21.  We will celebrate Morgan's after the first of the year, Tuesday, January 3rd!

Hello Everyone!
  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!  We will be starting Christmas Presents for you this week!  1/2 yard of cotton type fabric is requested!  Your child will measure and tear the fabric in order to create you gift!  Old Levis work well, as does old cotton shirt, skirts.  Please, NO T-shirt material, as it does not tear easily!  I will provide all other materials!  Thank you!

I hope each of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving!!  Some of our students finished their Indian belts and Indian Dolls! Here's a picture of a couple of tribes that finished!  Students were excited to take them hoe, and have Thanksgiving with the Indians.

Hello Everyone!

We're starting yet, another week! Boy, time sure flies when you're having fun!! We have been busy, doing so many fun activities, that are integrated with our Indian Tribes of Utah and Science Units!! We are weaving Indian belts, making thankful Indian boys and writing Indian petroglyphs of what we are thankful for, reading about the five Indian tribes of Utah, then writing about our favorite!  Sharing our narrative writing with classmates, making biome pyramids, including animals that live in each zone, and many other great activities!

Reynolds' Raptor's News October 25 2016!

Hello Everyone! 
     I hope you  had a great three day weekend!!  I wish it was like the good old days when we got five days off for UEA!  Oh well,  change is the name of the game!
     I sent home the rubric and brown paper bag with your child for their book report!  It is due next Monday, October 31. Halloween!!
     Speaking of Halloween, if you would like your child to participate in an in-class Trick-or-Treat, please send 30 small treats with your student to give out to the other students.  We will also be presenting our Mystery Book Reports, carving our apples for the heads of our Indian dolls, and having our class store!!
     SAGE Fall interim testing is complete!  Now it's learning time!!  We will be working hard to up our over-all scores in ELA, Math, and Science!!

Reynolds' Raptor's News October 17 2016

Hello Everyone!!
     Fall is in the air!! We have started the 2nd quarter already!!  I sent home "Progress Reports," on Monday!  If your child turned in missing assignments by Wednesday, October 12, they received credit, as talked about during S.E.P.s!  The computer no longer accepts late assignments.  Please help your child stay on top of Math Homework, Book Reports, and Reading Logs, so they don't run out of time to turn it in this quarter!  Thank you in advance!
     The S.U.U. Animal Ambassadors visited our 4th grade classes last Friday!  They brought with them some fascinating animals!  A Desert Tortoise,  Soft Shelled Turtle, King Snake, Gopher Snake, Baby Boa, and Tiger Salamander!  We learned about their habitat's, adaptations, and the land zones in which each live.  This was a great opportunity!

Hello Everyone,
     Sorry,  my computer has been sick for the past two weeks! It needed a part! We're up and running now! Thank you Tech Support!!
     Our visits at S.E.P.s were great!!  I enjoyed watching your child share with you His/Her progress so far this school year!  I have to say, I'm enjoying your child in our class!!  Large, loud, but lovable!!
     Our field trip to Zion National Park, was the bomb!!  THANK YOU to all of our Parent/Grandparent helpers!!  Pictures will follow!
A SPECIAL THANK YOU to all of you who found it in your hearts to donate a few $$ to Skyler!  His Mother passed away unexpectedly a week ago!  The money was very much appreciated!!

Reynolds' Raptor's News September 19,2016














Hello Everyone!

Our field trip to Navajo Lake was fantastic!!!  We learned about the Pinion/Juniper land zone,  Deciduous Forest, Coniferous Forest, and Wetlands!!  We learned about where our water supply comes from, while stopping at Cedar City's Water Shed!  We saw toads, dragonflies, damselflies, fish, sheep and a squirrel at Wood's Ranch! We learned about Utah's State Tree; The Quaking Aspen, our old state tree Blue Spruce, and  Fir. We saw deer, birds, fish, and caught Spotted Leopard Frogs, at Navajo Lake!  We got muddy, but had such a great learning time, outside of the classroom!!
