Reynolds' Raptor's News #28

Hello Everyone!

The Science Expo was great!!  I was amazed at the projects that you helped your child with!!  Each student presented them in our classroom, before taking them to the gym to be viewed by you, and the rest of the school.  Thank you for your awesome support!!

Remember only two day of school next week!!  Have a Happy Easter and Spring Break!!!   School will resume on, Monday, April 6.

On Friday, April 10, our class will walk to S.U.U.'s auditorium and watch "HONK" performed by The Children's Theatre.  Each student will need to bring $1.00 for their ticket.

Art's Night will be held on Monday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Our class will be taking the STEM Math Test on Monday, April 20.  Please make sure that your child gets a good nights sleep, and a healthy breakfast that morning.

On Friday, April 24, our class will be taking the STEM Language Arts test.  Please make sure your child gets a good nights sleep, and a healthy breakfast that morning also.

Reynolds' Raptor's News #27

Hello Everyone!

What a fun activity to end our Mountain Men unit!!  Thank you so much for your support with the Rendezvous!!  The kids had such a great time, while collecting Dinosaur Dough!  Most had left-overs, and so we extended the Rendezvous to Monday!!  I've taught your child how to "Square Dance!"  It was so much fun!  I've also taught them how to play twelve songs on their recorders! "Thanks Again," for all of your support!!

The Ancestor Reports were fantastic!!  What a great way to start out our Utah Pioneer unit!  It will be hard for The Son's of The Utah Pioneers to choose winners!  The final winners will be announced close to the last day of school!  This report will extend over to 5th grade next year, when they have to do the same thing, except add a board with pictures e.t.c.  The final winners will be announced close to the last day of school!

Spelling: quiet, quite, angel, angle, already, all ready, desert, dessert, weather, whether, pitcher, picture, loose, lose, aisle, isle, dairy, diary, ancestor, rendezvous.

Math:  Chapter 12 Relative Sizes of Measurement Units.  12.1 Measurement Benchmarks, 12.2 Customary Units of length, 12.3 Customary Units of Weight, 12.4 Customary Units of Liquid Volume, 12.5 Line Plots.

Math Homework:  Correlates with the lesson taught each day.

Friday, March 20, Mr. Oldroyd will be reading with all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, in the gym.  Students will be reading a "Battle of The Books," book.  They may bring a pillow.

Science:  Students are painting Water Cycle Chambers that they made in class with the salt dough you provided.  They will take them home, and create a miniature water cycle for you.  This will be their final test on the water cycle.  We have already started our weather unit.
