Reynolds' Raptor's News#29

Hello All,
    Our class Science fair projects were awesome!!! Everyone was a winner, in my book!  Great ideas, displayed well!  Thanks so much for your support with this.  Next year, your child could do the same project, but,  tweek, or expand, to make it even better.  We had four class winners out of the 4th grade classes.  Jinger Holyoak took 2nd place,  Kaden Lloyd, McKelle Sherratt, and Jennifer Bulloch, were Honorable Mentions.  Congratulations to each of you!!!
     Thanks to each of you that contributed to our class Easter Egg Hunt/Math activity! It was a fun!
Have a safe and  happy "Easter/Spring Break!"  School starts back on Monday, April 1st.

Reynold's Raptor's News #28

Hello Everyone,
     Our Science Fair Project will double as an Informational Book Report for March.  The Science Fair is this Thursday, March 21. Please take your project to the gym upon arrival to school.  Judging will take place all morning, so no one is allowed in the gym, after the bell rings, except judges and called on participants. Parents may come look at the Science Fair projects at 2:00-3:30 P.M.  The awards assembly is Friday, March 22nd at 2:15 P.M. Thank you so much for your support with this project!
     Spelling:  Hopeless, careless, homeless, tireless, hopeful, fearful, cheerful, careful, graceful, happily, friendly, angrily, swiftly,  suddenly, darkness, goodness, sadness, kindness, rendezvous, science.
     Science: Water, Weather, Birds
     Math:  Circumference, radius, diameter, spiral of all previous math concepts taught.
     Reading:  Our class is reading, There's a Boy In the Girl's Bathroom, By Louis Sachar
     Easter Tuesday:  We will have an Easter Egg Hunt on Tuesday, March 26.  If you able to, please send  one bag of wrapped candy with your child to school.  Please make sure there are at least 25 pieces in the bag.  This fun activity will double as a division in math activity.
Thank you so much, for your undying support! I really hate to see this school year end! I love your child!

Reynold's Raptor's News #26

Hello Everyone,
     The Caldecott book reports were fun!! I have the most creative group of students this year! Your child's diorama will be displayed in the library this week.  Visit the library with your child during SEP's. You will be able to look over our class display.
     Book Report: Informational.  It will double as a science project.  I hope your child has already started working on this. Due Tuesday, March 19.
     Multiplication Tables: Those students who have passed off the timed multiplication tables at a 100%, at least six times, were awarded "Banana Splits!!" Congratulations!! Keep working towards another one!!
     Birthday's: Luke, Kinzi, and Katelyn Happy Birthday! We celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday, Friday, March 1.  We ate green eggs and ham. I didn't have to persuade anyone to eat them!  I read the book Green Eggs and Ham to them, as a writing prompt. Students will write a persuasive advertisement, in class.
     Son's of The Utah Pioneer Essay Contest:  Due March 15. What a great way for your child to become acquainted with his/her ancestors.
     SEP Week:  I'm looking forward to visiting with you and your child, this week at SEPs.
     Spelling: Volcano, lazy, flavor, piano, recent, really, item, pilot, triangle, climate, gigantic, program, obey, puny, prepare, vacant, pulley, menu.
     Reading:  New reading groups! Students are progressing nicely in reading!  We finished reading Snow Treasure, and will start reading a new book this week.
     Science: Finished fish, starting birds. water cycle and starting weather.
