Reynold's Raptor's News! Week # 22

Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all happy and well. There has been so much sickness going around. I think we just keep passing it back and forth:(  It makes it almost impossible to teach important concepts, when half the class is missing. I hope the weather clears soon, so that we can get out in the fresh, clean air.
Inventions: Using 2-liter bottles are due Thursday, January 31.  Those that have been turned in already, have been pretty awesome!
The Son's of The Utah Pioneers writing contest: Rubric is going home with the students who are interested in participating.  I'm always amazed by the stories of my student's ancestors.  This is a great way for your child to learn more about their Family History.
Spelling: Enough, tough, fifty, pharmacy, alphabet, nephew, trophy, paragraph, telephone, photograph, giraffe, forest, figure, refrigerator, draft, phrase, traffic, chief, mixed number, improper fraction.
Math: Mixed Numbers, Improper Fractions, Common Denominators, Adding and Subtracting Fractions, spiral of concepts taught previously.
     Science: Fish, Water Cycle.
     Social Studies:  Spanish Explorers
Book Report: Due Thursday, February 28, Caldecott Award Book.  Diorama.
Thanks for all that you do to support your child in his/her education!! I am grateful to be your child's advocate!! Have a great week!
Love,
Karla Reynolds
